Restorations

Old church utensils are the pride of every parish. They are not only artistic and material valuables of unimaginable value, they also have a high ideological meaning. It is worthwhile to preserve these "old" values and to reconsider the restoration or renovation of the artwork in question instead of the new purchase.

The restoration of your church utensils lets the work of the old gold and silversmiths new splender. We work with experienced craftsmen, whose craftsmanship and sense of style we trust 100%.

Chalices, communion cups, incense burners, holy water containers, monstrances and candlesticks are the typical fields of work of our gold and silversmiths, belt makers and restorers. Both the museum conservation and the preparation for liturgical use are the tasks of our experts. In the restoration, of course, we follow the principle "as much as possible, as little as necessary complement!". There are used a variety of materials such as gold, silver, copper, brass and bronze. Sovereign craftsmanship and restoration respect for these tricks is absolutely necessary. That´s why, we already guarantee the expert execution of the work on your treasures.
Particularly important to us is the very good surface treatment - gild - silver - nickel - plating, etc.
The quality is certified according to DIN ISO 9001-2000!
Our gold and silversmith, Gürtler, engraver, galvanizer are without exception German workshops.

This is also the base for copies and reconstructions of all kinds. The material and style-appropriate production of a copy is usually easily possible. Also, reconstructions and making additions to templates and drawings are in most cases no problem.

See for youself of the high quality of our work with the following examples and see for yourself that high quality work does not have to be expensive:

These two candlesticks were repaired and aligned. Bumps and scratches were removed, new drip pans were made. The old surface was removed, the candlesticks were polished and varnished.

In this chalice, the surface was removed, re-polished and gold-plated again. Particularly important in the case of chalices is the internal gilt of the Cuppa with a thicker layer thickness.

How do you get a cost estimate? The easiest way to get a cost estimate is to send us a picture of your church equipment by email or post. We will make you a non-binding offer based on these pictures.
If you agree with the non-binding estimate, send us the church equipment or we will pick it up from you. After we have the church equipment in the house we will make you a binding cost offer. In most cases our cost estimate and the binding offer are the same. If you agree with the binding offer, the restoration or repair will begin.
